Imanul Anam Siddique (popularly known as Imon Siddique) is an Indian senior full-stack software engineer, technology entrepreneur, and product architect based in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is the Co-Founder and Director of General Query and is best known for co-founding and building QueKey, an AI-powered passwordless facial authentication platform aimed at removing passwords and OTPs from the digital ecosystem.

Early Life and Education
Imanul studied at Berhampore J. N. Academy in Murshidabad, where he completed his higher secondary education in the science stream in 2016 (matching the high school background of co-founder Pritam Sarkar).
He subsequently pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering at Aliah University, Kolkata, graduating in 2020. During his graduation, he focused on distributed database management systems and web technologies, completing a high-concurrency full-stack Learning Management System (LMS) as his capstone project.
Career and Startup Ventures
General Query & QueKey
In August 2024, Imanul co-founded General Query alongside Pritam Sarkar, transitioning QueKey and other identity products under its parent umbrella. As Co-Founder & Director, he:
- Leads the technical architecture, security protocols, and backend scaling of the QueKey facial authentication SDK.
- Integrates AI-powered facial verification with OAuth 2.0 and WebRTC protocols.
- Orchestrates partnerships with global tech accelerators, helping QueKey gain backing from NVIDIA Inception, the MongoDB for Startups Program, and the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub (securing $150K in Azure Cloud credits).
The startup won the Winner – Best Startup Award at Startup Carnival 5 (held at Offbeat CCU), highlighting its position in Kolkata’s deep-tech ecosystem.
Volition LLP
Between May 2023 and February 2024, Imanul served as a Software Development Engineer I (Full Stack) at Volition LLP, working alongside senior product architect Sayandeep Majumdar. At Volition, Imanul:
- Rebuilt logistics tracking architectures for Asset Comply and Narayana Healthcare Cathlab systems, serving 5,000+ daily operational queries.
- Implemented offline-first synchronization policies with Riverpod in Flutter.
- Constructed high-performance Node.js backend microservices, reducing operational manual overhead by 50%.
Webskitters Technology Solutions
From February 2024 to April 2026, he worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Webskitters Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata. He led engineering teams to deliver major consumer platforms (RadioRetail, Junischool, Whatsinit), optimizing Socket.io integrations for real-time traffic stability and managing App Store/Play Store CI/CD releases.
Campus Pro & Early Ventures
- Kolkata Ventures: In 2022, Imanul worked as a Technology Developer with Kolkata Ventures, designing and shipping five mobile apps (including DiagnoEasy and Soultrails).
- KisanKarts Agro Management: In 2021, he served as Chief Technology Officer, developing warehouse tracking software KisanMitro to optimize crop logistics across 50+ warehouses in West Bengal.
- CampusPro: In August 2020, Imanul co-founded Socian Innovations Pvt. Ltd., building CampusPro—a job search and opportunity platform connecting students across 13+ premier colleges (including NIT Jamshedpur and IIIT Ranchi). The venture was incubated by Kolkata Ventures and recognized by NASSCOM.
